The Pokemon Craze Returns

I got Pokemon: Fire Red today as a birthday gift. I know the game is like 2 years old and it is just a remake of the 1996 Pokemon Red game - but oh well. With Pokemon Diamond & Pearl on the horizon for the DS I figured I needed to get ready by going back to my roots. I originally owned Red and Blue back in '99. I was really hooked on Blue. I got to the last part of the game and realized I missed out on so much by not exploring. I was tired of the game and never revisited. This was due to the GBA coming out without a backlit screen. I left my Game Boy stuff behind until the GBA SP launched.

Since I will be able to use Pokemon I catch in Fire Red in the DS versions and in the Wii game, Pokemon Battle Revolution, it is a great game to own.
