Minus the "Humpty" - Positive or Negative?

Richard "Humpty" Vission is back with a new album, only this time he has dropped the "Humpty".
As far as I can tell RHV will start going by Richard Vission. I think this is a very smart move, since "Richard Vission" is much more professional sounding (Not to mention the web addy is shorter). The only downside to this is by dropping the "Humpty" he has also dropped his usually fast-paced mixing style.
About the album:
The album, Automatic, is a dual CD. Disc one is a mix album that represents Vission at the club. Disc two is a nine track collection of Vission's current projects as well as past work from 2003-04.
Disc 1 - @ The Club:
First off the track selection is on point as always. The difference with previous efforts is the lack of tracks. The mix disc has 20 total tracks, all of which fit perfect on the CD. On previous mix albums RHV would cram at least 30 tracks in and average track length was under 1:30. This time around most tracks play for over 2 minutes and some even go into the 3-4 minute range. If this were a DJ Dan or Donald Glaude album I would be amazed by the speed of the track mixing, but for RHV it just doesn't seem right. Most of the tracks have two drops where on previous albums most dropped once if at all. The mixing was just too fast before and laced with acapellas to keep the mix constantly fresh. Despite these downfalls the mixing is well above average and worth owning. Big tracks: INXS - Need You Tonight (SR Remix), Moussee T. - Right About Now (Fuzzy Hair Remix), and Mal Black & Dee Leviense - Splinter, along with RHV's own Automatic.
Disc 2 - @ The Studio:
This 9 track collection is the perfect companion to the first disc. Not only do you get all of RHV's new tracks, you get some of his work from 03-04. If you are a DJ you should grab this album just so you can get a head start on those waiting for the vinyl to release. RHV's "Bucci Bag" remix and the house anthems "Never Let Me Down" and "I Said" are already dance floor hits, but "Automatic" will most likely follow suit. The only problem with this disc is the lack of vocal tools and last summer's big floor jam, "Freaks (Keep Rockin')".
Final Word:
Though it sounds nothing like Humpty it does sound like Richard Vission. The mixing is still perfect and the track selection is amazing. This CD should be in your collection.
